Equipment Recycle is a family-owned and operated company. Jill and Mike Shaw started online sales in 2004. What started as a hobby with vinyl records and motorcycle parts has turned into a small family business for almost 20 years! We have had several ventures throughout the years, like selling wholesale club returns online and in our storefront location.
Our first try selling equipment was a success! We helped a friend liquidate a restaurant and realized we wanted to focus on equipment sales exclusively.
Throughout the years, we have attended local auctions, purchased government surplus, purchased entire businesses and more. We also established relationships with local businesses who continuously supply us with various types of equipment.
What started with a 20 foot sea container in our backyard has grown into a 30,000 square feet warehouse space with several employees. We have shipped various types of equipment all over the world. We have sold large commercial equipment to China, and brokered full sea containers to Costa Rica. Our reach is world wide!
Equipment Recycle’s mission is to help repurpose used equipment around the world and provide a service to customers in the DMV area with surplus equipment.
